DESA Student Chromebook Information

Important Information Regarding DESA Student Chromebooks
- Every DESA student, along with a parent or guardian, must complete a Technology Agreement Form before receiving a Chromebook.
- Chromebooks are a requirement for ALL classes on the DESA school campus. All teachers will assign work throughout the school year via Google Classroom or other learning applications.
- Every student is issued a specific Chromebook with a specific TAG# and Serial #. These TAG#’s and Serial#’s are recorded in the TipWeb, a technology database that keeps track of all technology that has been issued to each student. Please DO NOT remove any TAG#’s that are attached to the bottom or anywhere else on the device.
- Here is an example of a TAG# located on a student Chromebook:

- Students and parents are liable for any damage to devices. This includes:
- water damage
- accidental drops
- broken screens
- broken keyboards
- broken mouse pads
- broken audio ports
- any other physical, hardware damages to the device
- Students, please DO NOT share devices with other students or other people. If another student or person damages, loses, or steals a device that does NOT belong to them, the student originally assigned to the device is still responsible for the damages and replacement fees.
- If a device becomes broken or damaged, please inform the Campus IT
